About Phil

Phil Hines is based in Geelong, Victoria and has a wide interest in photography. Current interests range from wildlife, (particularly from Africa), sport, weddings, landscape and nature. Having been interested in photography for over thirty years he decided to pursue it full time in 2009. As a former Primary School Principal for over ten years, Phil has a wide educational and social background, which combined with a strong technical knowledge and a creative eye makes him a very flexible and adaptive professional. Over the past 2 years Phil has worked with conservation groups in Africa and Australia to help further the struggle for maintaining a wide variety of species from extinction. He has published several books on the subject, in the hope that people will become more aware of the current plight of our wildlife. In 2012 he launched the “WildSide Pics” side of his photographic business to further his wildlife conservation photographic work.
